The Collegeville Fire District was established in 1962 in order to provide fire protection to the rural community of Collegeville in San Joaquin County, California. The Collegeville Fire District now provides fire prevention, fire protection, emergency medical services, rescue, and hazardous materials response in the district's service area 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Collegeville Fire District is a combination fire district, comprised of both volunteer and paid fire personnel. The district is led by Fire Chief Ness Herrero and governed by a five person Board of Directors. Board meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at the Collegeville Fire Station.
